The Course

 

Swim - 450 Yards

  • The swim portion of Alphornman is in the New Glarus pool.  Ahtletes are organized by submitted swim time for a total of 9 laps (18 lengths).

    • When registering, please enter your estimated time for a 450 yard pool swim (9 laps or18 lengths in a 25 yard pool).  This time will be used to place you with swimmers of similar time for the pool swim.

    • Not sure of your 450 yard time?  Find a 25 yard pool and complete a quick 9 lap swim! :)

 

BIke - 15 Miles

  • The bike portion of Alphornman takes you through the scenic rolling terrain of New Glarus.  Back by popular demand, we're heading back to the original route out Pioneer Road!  You can review the route by CLICKING HERE.

 

Run - 3.1 Miles

  • The run portion of Alphornman is an out and back on a mostly flat course.  Complete map available by CLICKING HERE.

 

Transitions

  • All transitions will be in the Village Park where you will also find the pool and the post race pavillion. 

 

**Please Note:  For athlete, spectator, and volunteer's safety, headphones/earbuds are not allowed on any portion of the course (swim, bike, run).  In addition, a bike helmet is REQUIRED for the bike portion of the triathlon.  Also, per USAT rules wetsuits are NOT allowed for the pool swim portion of the race.
